Klooster Elsendael is a place for conferences, a hotel, restaurant, a location to throw parties and to get married.
It is also part of ROC Nijmegen, a Dutch institution for education. Students from various educations within ROC Nijmegen will find a traineeship, naturally accompanied by the permanent staff that is employed in Klooster Elsendael. Together with ROC Nijmegen a combination of work and education has been found to offer students the opportunity to experience work relavanted skills.
A part of the monastery is in use by the education Care and Welfare (also part of ROC Nijmegen). These pupils use a separate entrance and can only use a part of the Monastery which is not accessible to guests.
With the education Care and Welfare and the fact that students are educated in the Monastery, the wish of Dr. Peelen is again restored.
